• Tier 1 was for "exceptional peoples who can contribute significantly to the UK as well as investors and entrepreneurs", effectively replaced by Business and Innovator Visas
• Tier 2 was for "the Skilled Worker system" now has become Skilled Workers or Global Business Mobility Visas
• Tier 5 was for temporary workers in the UK for no longer than 12 months.

Before applying for a business visa, you first need to decide which route you wish to choose for you or your business. There are two main worker sponsorship routes:

• Skilled Worker
• Global Business Mobility: Senior or Specialist Worker

Without sponsorship it is also possible to be granted a business visitor visa for up to six months.
