Motoring Offences & Driving Disqualifications
If you’ve been charged with a motoring offence, getting the right legal advice can ensure that you’re fully prepared for whatever comes next.

How can we help?
If you're due to appear in court on a motoring offence charge, we could help with your case and arrange for a barrister to represent you in court. Our highly specialised and dedicated team of solicitors can offer guidance on all aspects of road traffic law in England and Wales.
We offer expert legal help that's tailored to suit each individual client. We give clear and straightforward advice and are committed to achieving the best results.
We help people who are facing disqualification because they have totted up 12 or more penalty points. We also help those who want to reduce their disqualification. If you wish to appeal against a motoring conviction and sentence, we can help you there too.
We have an exceptionally high success rate and have been involved in many high-profile cases. We have the experience and expertise needed to achieve the best outcome for you.
We have an exceptionally high success rate in dealing with motoring offences. There are several ways we’ll work towards your best-case outcome, including…
- Preparing your case
- Liaising with the court on your behalf
- Providing a barrister to represent you in court
- Working to appeal or reduce driving disqualifications.
Let’s get you to the right area of legal help for motoring-related offences.
What happens next
Give us a call and we’ll ask for all the information you have on your case.
If we need to, we'll liaise with the court, the police, and the Crown Prosecution Service for you ahead of your hearing.
We’ll decide together how to proceed, whether it’s defending your case to reach an acquittal (where all charges are released or “dropped”), or pleading guilty and working to get you the most lenient sentence possible.
You’ll be supported by a team of senior associates, associates, solicitors, and paralegals with decades of experience, supervised by a Partner.
How much you’ll pay depends on the offence you are charged with, and your plea. Head to our pricing page to get an idea of costs.
Dealing with disqualifications
Driving disqualifications can have a huge impact on your daily life. We work to lessen that impact by reducing the amount of time you’ll be banned for.
Driving offences aren’t limited to just drink driving and speeding. There are many other offences that you may not even be aware of until you suddenly find yourself charged with them.
Other driving offences include:
- Failing to provide driver information
- Failing to stop and report an accident
- Driving while using a mobile phone
- Driving without insurance
- Driving through a red light
- Careless and dangerous driving
- Causing serious injury by careless driving
- Driving while unfit through drink or drugs
- Being in charge of a motor vehicle while unfit through drink or drugs.
We help people who:
- Have been disqualified for less than four years. We can apply to reduce your disqualification after you’ve been banned from driving for two years
- Have been disqualified for at least four years but under 10 years. We can apply to reduce your disqualification after you’ve been banned for half the total disqualification period
- You’ve been disqualified for 10 years or more. We can apply to reduce your disqualification after you’ve been banned for 5 years.
Scotland & international legal representation
If you’re based outside England and Wales, or are due to appear in a Scottish or international court, we can’t defend you directly. But you can still get in touch, and we’ll connect you with an experienced team.
