Biography
Matthew is our National Head of Commercial and IP, with teams in London (where he is based), Leeds and Birmingham. The team covers the full range of commercial contract matters and business lifecycle issues, including specialist services related to data protection, AI, IP development and licensing, trademarks, brand management and protection, NSI and much more.
An experienced commercial lawyer, he works for clients across a wide range of sectors and industries. Matthew has particular experience in advising on IT contracts, providing advice to suppliers and customers on IT sector transactions, and advising on online gaming and other similar areas.
Matthew regularly works with large corporates and early-stage companies, helping with a wide range of business life-cycle issues, from commercial strategy matters and business planning, incorporation / inward investment, venture capital investment, incentivisation plans, shareholders agreements, private equity, IP licensing and exploitation, preparing businesses for exit and ultimately M&A transactions.
